Shady mixed deciduous and evergreen wood on rocky area in swamp. Shrub to 3m high. Y oung shoots rose coloured, sticky. Leaves dark green above, pale brownish~yellow to silvery beneath (infested with lacewing), when young indumentum above, and especially below, white and sticky.
