Habitat: Mixed deciduous & evergreen forest underplanted with Cardamon crop. Very damp environment.: Cardamon underplanting in mixed forest eventually gives way to Rhododendron forest then summit vegetation of Lyonia, Magnolia & Stransvaesia.
Description: Multi-stemmed shrub >1m. Lvs lancelate 7x2cm with heavily pubescent underside of leaf. Seed pods curved in trminal clusters sim. To bananas. Growing epiphytically on rock face.
