Description: Ascending perennial, 50 cm; leaves soft-textured, paler below; calyx dark purple-blue at apex, paler near base; bracts not caducous; corolla blue, upper lip erect with dark mottling, lower lip deflexed, blue-mauve; developing nutlets white turning red then black when mature
