Habitat: Primary montane evergreen forest.
Description: Herb to 105cm tall. Lower 1/3 of pseudostem. shoots c.7cm apart. Ligule 1-2mm, petiole 12mm lamina 15x3.5cm to 20x4cm. Infloresence radical, peduncle up to 10cm long, creeping. Bracts maroon. 30x15mm, bracteole white with maroon tip, 20x12mm. Flower c.6cm long. Calyx, floral tube and corolla lobes pure white, labellum 3 lobes (side lobes=staminodes), central lobe dark purple with white blotches 25x19mm, staminodes pure white17x7mm, floral tube c.30mm ling. Calyx 9mm long with unilateral 7mm slit. Corolla lobes: dorsal lobe 24x10mm, lateral lobes21x5.5mm. Ovary 6x2.5mm. Epigynous gland c.4mm long, 0.5mm diam. Stamen cream white with purple anther crest. Filament 2x2.5mm. Anther without anther crest 15.5mm long, 3mm braod. Anther crest 11-12mm.
