Collecting locality: Belize:Cayo:Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve; 2 km west of Baldy Beacon. Collected from a pathway at north side of the main Baldy Beacon road.
Latitude: 17°48'13''N, Longitude: 88°48'13''W
Habitat: Gallery forest in submontane pine savanna.
Description: 50-80cm tall, no smell or latex, ascending habit with 5-10 branches spreading from the centre. Lower parts of culm becoming woody. Culm nodes purple brown. Spikelets with marron/ wine-red stigmata.
