Habitat: In a temporarily flooded palm-dominated forest.
Description: Herb to 50 cm, scrambling in roots of palm tree. Stem green. Leaves dark green above, lighter below. Bract colour red. Flowers bright red, base of floral tube white, increasingly red towards apex, especially where exposed. stamens white, anthers light olive green to light brown. persistent style white
