Habitat: Open scrub on white sand with damp areas and extensive sedge meadow. Partly burnt over.
Description: Erect herb very deeply rooted in small clumps in wet sand, to ca. 50cm with spirally contorted leaves and stems. Peduncles rather glaucous, bases of plants purplish-tinged.
