Habitat: Small sandy hill 300 m from limestone cliff.
Description: Terrestrial herb ca. 1 m, 14-15 distichously arranged leaves per shoot. Leaf to 1.3 m, of this petiole 55 cm, maximum width 15.5 cm. Inflorescence in front of leaf fan, biforcating, one fork having one flower or bud. 13 cm from base of branch to ovary. Calyx cream to dark purple, 10.5 cm. Petals warm-yellow: dorsal recurved, purplish tinged near margin; lateral petals forming a 'boat keel'. Labellum brownish-black, erect and recurved, probably from the previous day.
