Habitat: In low cerrado.
Description: Tree, 5m tall with very wide crown. Trunk 14cm in diam. at breast height. Bark silvery, fissured into squares. Blaze: cortex red-pink with paler vertical stripes; wood straw colour. Petals yellow, becoming orange in the centre of the limb on ageing.
