Description: Herbaceous, dioecious mesophyte to 1.5m tall; stem terete, to 2.5cm in diameter, basally semi-ascending, with age age becoming leafless at base, terminally ascending with crown of up to 25 leaves; stolons absent. Leaves to 165cm long, spreading then arching. Ripe fruit globose, 9-10m diameter, dark pink-red externally, pulp 1-2mm thick, cream-white to dark pink-red.
