Description: Plant c. 1 x 0.7 m in 10 years. Bark thin, mahogany coloured. Leaves narrowly elliptic, sub-acute, apiculate, base cuneate, lamina (30--) 50--60 x 20--25 mm, dark green above, grey, papilose below; scales sunk in pits, dense to 2 times their diameter apart, dimporphic. Petioles 50--90 mm, densely lepidote lacking hairs. Flowers in a terminal whorl, 3--6 semi-erect, funnel-shaped flowers per truss. Corolla whitish to pale pink, 30--35 mm, tube c. 15 mm, glabrous. Filaments glabrous. Ovary lepidote, style impressed. Faint scent.
