Habitat: Frequent in sun in moist light loam on moderate south east facing mountainside of open mixed woodland.; Vegetation: Salix caprea, Corylus avellana, Populus tremula and Stachys sp.
Description: Evergreen tree to 20m x 6m with upward curved linear leaves with blunt tip to 2.2cm x 1.5cm, deep glossy green above, mid glossy green below with two broad white stomatal bands. Fruit a grey/green blunt ended cylindrical cone to 18cm x 4cm with brown/red marks on bracts.
