Habitat: Disturbed forest by roadside.
Description: Tree to 5 m. Trunk 5dbh, bark mottled brown/grey/green, rough texture, pale grey/green lichen, white thick latex, gooey, not sticky, no smell, sandy-orange wood, bark 2 mm thick. Leaves thick, mid-green, paler underside, white latex in main veins, alternate branching at 120 degree angles (tricussate). Fruit red/orange when ripe. Inside is apple-coloured soft, hollow centre, many brown 1 mm diameter seeds attached to fruit flesh around hollow centre, skin 1 mm thick, fruit pumpkin-shaped ~10 cm diameter. Fruit is eaten, if not invaded by small black ants and white larvae.
