Habitat: Secondary forest, edge of old vegetable field.
Description: Terrestrial herb of many shoots in clump: 10-35 cm between neighbouring shoots. Leafy shoot to 3.5 m long. Base to 4.5 cm diam., reddish. Sheath green. Ligule 10 mm long, entire, brownish green. Petiole 12 mm long. Lamina to 52 cm x 11 cm, narrowly ovate, mid-green, not plicate. Inflorescence from the rhizome, loose, with 4 flowers open at a time. Fertile bract pale green with brownish margin. Bracteole, and calyx as fe. bract. Corolla tube cream, lobes very pale yellowish green. Labellum cream with very pale pink margin, pale yellowish green in centre, terminal lobe slightly bilobed (appearing reniform form above). Anther cream. Stigma very pale pink. Fruit pale brown, spiny.
