Habitat: Grassy banks at seashore
Description: Plants in full fruit and sparingly in flower. Leaves dull green and not spotted above, pale green beneath, with a purpulish-green midrib. Phyllaries recurved both in the flower-bud and in the fully expanded flower. Inner phyllaries adpressed below, recurvedabove in the fully expanded flower, simple (not [gibbous?] or appendaged) at the dull purple apex. Corolla yellow, striped dulll purplish beneath in the outer florets. Style and its two recurved branches yellow. Fruit-receptacle flatish-convex. Achenes brown, spinnulose-pinnate at the apex.
