Habitat: Terrestrial on clay bank.
Description: Rhizome 2-3cm diameter, ascending, producing mass of fibrous roots. Stipes and rachis mid to dark green above, very dark green to black beneath, densely scaly beneath. Croziers yellowy green with large pale brown scales. Fronds to 113cm long, lamina 47-78 x 18-36cm; 18-22 pairs of free pinnae; lowest pinnae reflexed or not. Lamina mid to dark green and slightly shiny above, much paler beneath, veins prominent. Indusia pale green.
