Collecting locality: Saudi Arabia:Zabirah, about 200km N of Buraydah.
Habitat: In shrub filled wadi, in red sand
Description: A grazed white-downy shrublet to 30cm tall. The lateral shoots developed into blunt spines. White flowers 1-2cm wide. Similar to C. oxyphyllus, but much downier & September flowering (widespread) oxyphyllus is spring flowering.
