Habitat: Savanna, in very sparse, exposed grassland. Silty soil.
Description: Herb, uncommon. Stem square, quite succulent, hairy. Leaves and stem red-purple (leaves green on upper surface, purple on lower). Flowers pink-purple, with 5 petals. 10 stamens with pink hooks and yellow anthers.
