Description: Subarborescent in riverbank regrowth; bark very thick, wood white, soft; twigs terete, green with dark brown scales; stipules foliose, caducous, yellow-green; leaves papyraceous, adaxial surface dark dull green, abaxially medium green and with +/- stellate scales; inflorescence axillary, bracteate, all parts scabrid and with a dense covering of stellate scales; flowers in bud only, globose, yellow-green; perianth 5-merous, valvate; fruits compressed, epicarp brownish-green with a harsh indumentum, valves 2.
