Habitat: Limestone bat cave with river through it, growing directly on rock
Description: Plant rhizomatous. Leaves alternate. Stipules triangular, 2-4.5 x 2-5mm, persistent. Lamina basifixed, 3.5-10 x 2-6.8cm, ovate to elliptic. Adaxial surface purplish green to dark purple between the veins, veins green. Abaxially pale green to dark purple between the veins. Infloresence protandrous. Peduncle hairy. Male flowers with 4 tepals, white. Androecium yellow. Female flowers with 3 tepals, white. Fruit capsule dry, papery brown.
