Habitat: Mixed broadleaved evergreen forest on limestone
Description: Robust herb to 2m, flowers emerging near the ground, emitting strong putrid smell. Sepals unequal, greenish internally, with purple tinge externally, petals unequally oblong, purple-black with velvety appearance, labellum deep purple to maroon narrow at basal third, rhomboid at apical 2/3, with a median raised midrib, style and stigma purple, viscidium Y-shaped.
