Habitat: Grasslands on swampy soils with poor drainage
Description: Shrubs to small trees, height 2-4m. Leaves young leaves deep rusty brown; mature leaves olive green below, dark green above, petiole and base of midrib whitish-green. Flowers white 5-7 corolla lobes, hyacinth perfume. Corolla celernally glabrous, hairy within in the lower 1/3. Stamens hairy in lower part ovary hairy style glabrous, surface of stigma chanelled. Fruit green with brown hairs; styles and stigma persist, also wilted corolla.
