Habitat: Primary. Lowland dipt. forest. On the surface of sandstone outcrop and steep hill slope.
Description: Rhizomatous herb, 25-50cm tall, 1-2 leafy shoots clumped together, usually solitary. Bladeless sheath at base mottled purple to red. Leaves found at upper 1/3 of shoot, 5-6 leaves, rachis flatten; ligule pale green to green, 2-3mm long, emarginate, thin; leaves sessile except the terminal ones with 1.5-3cm long; largest lamina 27-35 x 9.5-10.5cm, veins slightly raised on upper surface, glossy green above, pale green below, some with pruple tinge. Inflorescence 7.5-14.5cm long, drooping; peduncle 1-4.5cm long, covered with 0-1 sterile bracts; sterile bract 1.5-3.2 x 0.8-1.4cm; rachis 5.5-12cm long; cincinni 8-33, lax, 4-19mm apart, each cincinnus 0.8-2.5cm long, with 2-8 flowers crowded at terminal; pedicel green; flowers yellow; ovary green; 2 brown eyes on lip, 4 anther appendages.
