Description: Tree, c. 45m high. Trunk with buttresses up to 2m height, 6m long. Diameter above buttr. 165cm. Trunk greyish brown. Leaflets firm coriaceous, needle-like, upper side glossy, dark green, lower side somewhat glossy , greyish green. Leaflets fold together at dusk. Youngleaves medium green above palish green beneath. Peduncle light green with brown hairs. Bracts greenish white. Pedicel greenish white with brown hairs. Bracteoles white., outer side with long brown and short white hairs. Fused adaxial speals light green with dark brown hairs. Adaxial petal white, ciliated with tiny white hairs. Ovary pinkish, with white and brown hairs. Style white, stigma yellow. Filaments white, anthers purple to dark purple. Filamental tube at very base red. Young pods light green with dark brown hairs.
