Collecting locality: Belize:Cayo:Belize Botanic Garden, San Ignacio. Under the fire tower.
Latitude: 17°5'43''N, Longitude: 89°4'26''W
Habitat: Excavated, flattened, area by footpath across hillside, at edge of recent secondary tropical evergreen seasonal broadleaf forest on limestone. Amongst bare subsoil and sparse, occasionally mown, grasses, herbs and young vines and shrubs to 60cm.
Description: Apparently annual, 20-40 cm high, upright, white latex present in stem and leaves, reddish tinge to stems and older leaves. Population of approx. 12 plants over a 5 x 3 m area. Growing with: Hammelia patens, Calea spp., Commelina sp., Sida sp., Convolvulous sp., Melochia sp., Paulinia or Sargentia sp., spp. of Poaceae, sp. of Vitaceae.
