Collecting locality: Belize:Stann Creek:Flour Camp Creek; c. 4 Km east of Southern Highway & Georgetown Technical High School along Belize Aquaculture Ltd access road, near start of Flour Camp Creek.

Habitat: Open grassland savanna surrounding palmetto thicket. Frequent (abundant in thicket) Acoelorraphe wrightii 2 m & occasional (frequent in thicket) Byrsonima crassifolia 2-5 m. Open grassland dominated by sedges, 90%, damp ground, large areas inundated; Xyris sp., Utricularia spp., Acisanthera crassipes, Schultesia brachyptera & Drosera capillaris also prominant in herb layer.
Description: Occasional herb in inundated grassland; sepals with silver sheen & black flowers.
