Collecting locality: Belize:Toledo:Deep River Forest Reserve North; 500 m north of Southern Highway.
Latitude: 16°27'50''N, Longitude: 88°43'37''W
Habitat: Open pine woodland savanna, turning into broken ridge. Abundant pine 17 m, 5%; shrub layer of occasional Acoelorraphe wrightii 6 m & Byrsonima crassifolia 6 m; open grassland with a rich herb layer including abundant Chamaecrista desvauxii, frequent Hypericum terrae-firmae, Coutoubea spicata, Melochia spicata, occasional Ageratum radicans & Sauvagesia erecta. Not burnt for many years.
Description: Rare tall herb to 1 m; flowers pale blue.
