Habitat: Dense pine & oak savanna woodland. Abundant Pinus caribaea to 16 m, frequent Quercus oleoides 15 m, Curatella americana 8 m, Calliandra houstoniana 2 m, Waltheria indica 1 m, & occasional Byrsonima crassifolia 5 m. Burnt previous dry season.
Description: Frequent herb to 1.2 m; normally single-stemmed, rarely branching; pea flowers salmon pink with red stripes; segmented pods with up to 4 seeds.
