Habitat: Open woody savanna. Shrub layer (30%) of frequent Acoelorraphe wrightii 2-4 m; occasional Byrsonima crassifolia 3 m & rare Crescentia cujete 3 m. Herb layer rich in grasses & sedges with abundant Cassytha filiformis (70%).
Description: Abundant herb to 40 cm; tufted habit; no ligule; flat leaf blade; solid culm.
