Collecting locality: Belize:Toledo:Paynes Creek National Park; ~2 Km East of Punta Ycacos (Cocoa plum) Lagoon & Rangers Station.
Latitude: 16°23'55''N, Longitude: 88°34'7''W
Habitat: Dense pine savanna woodland. Frequent Pinus caribaea 24 m (5%); shrub layer (50%) of abundant Byrsonima crassifolia 30 cm (1.5m), Erythroxylum guatamalense 50 cm (1-1.5m) & frequent Acoelorraphe wrightii 2-6 m (40%). Herb layer 10-30 cm dominated by grasses with few sedges, abundant Curculigo scorzonerifolia, 20%. 2 months since prescriptive burn, previously not burnt for 4 years.
Description: Occasional herb to 60 cm, can reach >1 m; tufted habit; small (1 mm) membranaceous ligule; folded leaf blade; hollow culm.
