Collecting locality: Belize:Toledo:Deep River Forest Reserve South; trackside near eastern boundary with Paynes Creek National Park.

Habitat: Dense pine savanna woodland. Abundant Pinus caribaea 16-18 m (5%); shrub layer (80%) of abundant Byrsonima crassifolia 3-5 m, Acoelorraphe wrightii 3-5 m, Miconia albicans 3 m, Calliandra houstoniana 2 m, & frequent Xylopia frutescens 8 m. Herb layer dominated by grasses (10%). Not burnt recently, maybe for at least 4 years.
Description: Abundant small shrub to 1.5 m; few small white flower buds & red berries.
