Collecting locality: Belize:Orange Walk:Old Northern Highway 3 miles from Carmelita, towards Maskall & Bomba; 50 m north of road.
Latitude: 18°1'10''N, Longitude: 88°31'36''W
Habitat: Open woody savanna with scattered pine; with abundant Crescentia cujete (5 m), frequent Byrsonima crassifolia (3 m), frequent Myrtaceae (2 m), occasional Pinus caribaea (17 m) providing <5% canopy cover with islands of denser shrubs such as Metopium brownei, Acoelorraphe wrightii & Hampea trilobata around Quecus oleoides (16 m). Herb layer 60% sedges and 40% grasses together providing 80% ground cover. Site burnt 1.5-2 months previously, area clearly used as cattle pasture (hoof prints & cowpats).
Description: Frequent regenerated shrub 2 m; sterile.
