Habitat: Open Acoelorraphe wrightii & Pinus savannah, sandy soil.; Vegetation: Growing in herb layer within a palmetto stand.
Description: Frequent shrub with 6 unbranching stems from base up to 1 m tall; hairs on stem are silver near apex & reddish brown lower down. Flowers with 4 white petals & 8 pale pink stamens with striking magenta appendages; dark purple fruit with red hairs.
