Habitat: Area farmed <16 yrs previously. Thin leaf litter, limestone bedrock.; Vegetation: Tropical, evergreen broadleaf forest: Yucatan variant. Dominated by Cecropia sp & Critonia sp (Z.Goodwin 457). Canopy of ~12 m.
Description: Locally common tree to 13m, two branches 11.8 + 8.8cm dbh. Light brown, very soft spongy bark with a dark grey brown slash.
