Habitat: Open pine palmetto woodland savanna. Frequent Pinus caribaea 15-17 m, abundant Acoelorraphe wrightii 2 (-5) m, Calliandra houstoniana 1-2 m, frequent Byrsonima crassifolia 1-3 (-5) m and occasional Davilla kunthii 1m. Quercus oleoides trees rare but frequent in localised patches, frequent saplings. Herb layer a mix of sedges & grasses with abundant Mimosa spp. Disturbance from logging (numerous tracks & cut trunks); significant damage by recent (1 month previous) hurricane Richard with debris from standing trees, fallen oak, pine & craboo. Site burnt previous dry season.
Description: Rare vine; large white pea flower with enlarged lip, 6 purple honey guide stripes at centre of lip.
