Collecting locality: Central African Republic:Sangha Economique:45 km South of Lidjombo, East bank of Sangha River from NDAKAN camp - upstream. Riparian forest with Uapaca heudelotii and Irvingia smithii. Precip. 1400mm.

Description: Herb 1.8 m high, totally submereged in rainy season. Corolla very pale mauve, almost white, yellow in throat, yellow part of corolla tube opposite stamens rather thick and fleshy. Inflorescence bracts pink. Bracts and bottom or corolla underground.
