Habitat: On the side of the road, at the top of a slope leading down into a boggy area dominated by Betul.. The slope is above limestone and is well drained, with Quercus petre.(?) Taxus baccata, Fraxinus excelsior, Ilex aquifolium Corylus avellana, Sanicula europaea, Rubus sp., Rubia peregrina and Primula vulgari.. ; Aspect: South; Geology: Carboniferous limestone.
Description: Small low growing herb with long, quadrangular stems. Leaves borne in opposite whorls, dark green above, sticky to touch, with very finely toothed margins.
Miscellaneous notes: At base of _Taxus baccata_ tree # 0485.
