Habitat: Red clay-based soil in floodplain of tributary to South Stann Creek, granite bedrock with occasional limestone pockets.; Vegetation: Tropical evergreen, lowland, seasonal forest: Yucatan variant, canopy height 17+m, 80% canopy cover. Understory is dense layer of Polybotrys caudata, young Attalea cohune, Costus pulverulentus, Calathea micans, and numerous Psychotria and Miconia sp.
Description: Tree with 2 trunks, 18m tall (canopy height), 15.1 & 6.4cm dbh. Bryophyte- covered, soft, crumbly bark, white underneath.
