Habitat: Tropical evergreen, lowland, broadleaf forest: Yucatan variant (Cohune ridge). Canopy 11-13m, heavy brown soil 18'' deep over limestone bedrock, >36 yrs since farming.
Description: Single trunk tree, 16m tall, pale bark, orange pink slash with freshly sawn timber smell. Fine reddish hairs on young twigs and underside of leaves, grooves on twigs and small branches
