Habitat: Shallow leaf litter, heavy brown soil over limestone bedrock, >36 yrs since farming.; Vegetation: Tropical evergreen, lowland, broadleaf forest: Yucatan variant (Cohune ridge). Canopy 16-23m, growing in association with Calophyllum brasiliense, Bursera simaruba & Metopium brownei, lots of Moraceae saplings & Piperaceae shrubs in understory..
Description: 17.25m tall tree, 24.8cm dbh, with small (<1cm) black and green berries. Uniform orange slash, sweet scent.
