Habitat: 5cm deep leaf litter, limestone bedrock, <16 yrs since farming.; Vegetation: Tropical evergreen, lowland, broadleaf forest: Yucatan variant (Cohune ridge). Canopy 13-15m, few mature trees in immediate vicinity, dense understory dominated by young Attalea cohune & Piper sp.
Description: 15m tree with 2 trunks, 14.3cm & 14.2cm dbh. Cracked bark, soft to rub, yellow-orange slash, no distinct scent. Galls on twigs.
