Habitat: Area farmed >36 yrs previously. Thick leaf litter layer, limestone bedrock.; Vegetation: Tropical, evergreen broadleaf forest: Yucatan variant. Dominated by Metopium brownei, Vitex gaumeri, Protium copal & Croton schiedeanus. Canopy of ~16 m.
Description: Common tree in swampy area of forest, 13m, 12.7cm dbh. Pale bark, pale slash and slight sweet scent to leaves.
