Habitat: Shallow leaf litter, heavy brown soil over limestone bedrock, >36 yrs since farming.; Vegetation: Tropical evergreen, lowland, broadleaf forest: Yucatan variant (Cohune ridge). Canopy 16-20m, growing in association with Calophyllum brasiliense, Bursera simaruba & Metopium brownei.
Description: 18.2m tall tree, 15cm dbh with grey, cracked and brittle bark. Scentless slash is magenta/pink with a yellow centre.
