Habitat: Submontane forest dominated by Purdiaea belizensis, Ternstroemia tepezapote & Clusia rosea with thick peat soil and mosses.; Vegetation: Growing next to Hillia tetrandra behind a boulder on the northern face of the summit.
Description: Spindly shrub to 2m, purple stems, tiny green flowers with 4 anther flaps. Fruit with red cupule and green fruit. No scent. Frequent.
