Collecting locality: Afghanistan:Baghlan:18 miles E of Banu, S. of the village of Pul-i-sar.
Habitat: Mountain slopes.; Vegetation: Artemisia sp. dominating.
Description: 'Stoloniferous' perennial. Old rhizomes pale brown. Young ones whitish. Leaves, scape and bracts pale to mid green. Scape 4-10cm tall. Standards deep or mid blue-purple with a little pale whitish purple beard in the lower half. Fall, half whitish veined deep purple blue, blade deep purple-blue. Styles mid or pale purple-blue. Stamens, filaments pale purple-blue, anthers white.
