Collecting locality: Afghanistan:Farah:10 miles NE of Gulestan, 1 mile beyond village of Faizabad.
Habitat: Rocky sandy plain and hill slopes.
Description: Bulb with a thin brown tunic and fleshy white roots thickened near the top. Leaves dull grey-green above and below with a fine silver margin, curled downwards 2-5/plant. Flowers 1/2 per plant. Styles and falls deep blue or blue-purple, fall with a bright yellow crest, without an appreciable wing. Standard tiny blue-purple.
