Habitat: Tropical wet forest.
Description: Suffrutescent terrestrial herb. STems erect. Leaves distichous; abaxial leaf surface reddish-green to green. Immature flowers appressed to abaxial leaf surface. Mature flowers and fruits on an erect pedicel. Calyx green. Corolla red and tubular.
Miscellaneous notes: Not locally common, but abundant along small stream. Photographs of this collection are in teh Gesneriaceae photo file (US).
