Habitat: amongst boulders in moist, humus-rich soils
Description: Erect perennial herb to 60cm (some older fruiting specimens to 1m); tap root wry thick, twisted; corolla deep purple; anthers yellow.
Miscellaneous notes: Occasional Herb-rich grasslands with scattered shrubs (Berberis, Lonicera, Salix etc.) and dwarf trees of Betula utilis, not yet grazerd this year
