Habitat: Red clay-based soil in floodplain of tributary to South Stann Creek, granite bedrock with occasional limestone pockets.; Vegetation: Tropical evergreen, lowland, seasonal forest: Yucatan variant, canopy height 17+m, 80% canopy cover. Understory is dense layer of Polybotrys caudata, young Attalea cohune, Costus pulverulentus, Calathea micans, and numerous Psychotria and Miconia sp.
Description: Liana brought down from canopy by tree fall (20+canopy) at edge of slope down to flood plain.
