Habitat: Steep roadsides through disturbed cloud forest.
Description: Terrestrial or epiphytic shrub with branches to 3 m; inflorescence bracts green;floral bracts red; pedicels & calyx pale translucent green, limb tinged with red; corolla completely bright red, waxy; immature fruits pale whitish-green. Infrequent.
